Cheque – Timeless

Timeless by Cheque Mp3 Download

Cheque, whose real name is Akanbi Bamidele Brett, is a Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter from Ondo State. Born on March 23, 1995, he developed his musical identity through a combination of rap, melody, Afropop and contemporary hip-hop. Cheque began taking music seriously in 2015 while studying Chemical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, where he initially performed under the name Kyle B. His university years became an important part of his development as an artist, giving him the opportunity to experiment with different sounds and improve his songwriting and performance. After graduating, he continued releasing freestyles and building his profile until Phyno discovered his work and signed him to Penthauze Music in 2019. Cheque’s major breakthrough came in 2020 with his Razor EP and the widely recognized single “Zoom,” which introduced his melodic rap style to a much larger audience. His debut album Bravo followed in 2021, featuring records such as “History” with Fireboy DML and “Dangerous” with Ayra Starr. Over the years, Cheque has continued evolving through singles, collaborations and projects, eventually entering a new chapter of creative independence. On August 28, 2026, he adds another release to his growing catalogue with “Timeless.”

Timeless arrives as another expression of the musical style Cheque has developed throughout his career. The Nigerian artist has become known for moving naturally between singing and rapping, often creating records where melodic vocals and hip-hop influences exist side by side. On this release, he stays within that melodic space while delivering the song with the confidence and smoothness associated with his catalogue. The title “Timeless” suggests an appreciation for music, moments or emotions that can remain meaningful beyond a particular period. Rather than depending entirely on a complicated concept, the record gives Cheque room to focus on his delivery, melodies and personal musical identity.

The production of Cheque Timeless supports his melodic approach with a contemporary sound designed to keep the vocals at the center. The song sits comfortably between hip-hop and Afropop, reflecting the versatility that has been an important part of Cheque’s artistic identity since his early releases. His ability to combine rap phrasing with smoother vocal passages allows the record to maintain movement without losing its relaxed character. The instrumental gives his voice enough space to carry the main personality of the song, while the rhythmic foundation keeps the track engaging for listeners who enjoy modern Nigerian music.

One of the strongest aspects of Timeless is Cheque’s vocal confidence. His career has been shaped by a style that does not force him into a strict definition of either rapper or singer. Instead, he operates comfortably between both worlds, creating a recognizable melodic rap sound. This approach has helped him stand apart within Nigeria’s competitive music industry and has allowed him to collaborate with artists from different sides of the Afrobeats and hip-hop spectrum. The new single continues that musical direction, giving longtime followers another example of the sound Cheque has spent years developing.

The release also comes during an active period in Cheque’s 2026 music career. His official catalogue includes the Yazi project and its deluxe edition, while recent releases have kept his name visible among listeners following contemporary Nigerian music. His journey from university freestyles to mainstream recognition with “Zoom” demonstrates the gradual development behind his current position. Rather than being defined by one successful record, Cheque has continued expanding his catalogue through albums, EPs, collaborations and standalone singles. Timeless becomes another entry in that progression and gives his audience fresh material while maintaining the melodic rap identity that has become central to his sound.

For fans searching for Cheque Timeless Mp3, this latest 2026 release offers another opportunity to experience the Nigerian artist’s distinctive combination of melody, rap and Afropop influences. The song fits naturally into playlists focused on current Nigerian music, melodic hip-hop and contemporary Afrobeats. With Cheque’s assured delivery and polished musical direction, Timeless adds another layer to his growing discography and continues the story of an artist who has steadily evolved since his early days as Kyle B.
