David Kushner – Ritual MP3 Download
Chicago-born David Kushner II broke out in 2022 with Miserable Man and Mr. Forgettable before Daylight in 2023 went triple-platinum. After his debut album The Dichotomy in 2024 and the 20 Years From Now EP in early 2025, he spent 2026 leaning into gothic-tinged alternative pop.
Ritual landed 11 September 2026 via Miserable Music Group / RCA as the second single from his upcoming sophomore LP Devotion, due 13 November. It follows Electrified and was co-written and produced with Jacob Olofsson and Scott Harris.
The record describes a relationship stuck on loop floors creaking, water leaking, two people waiting for a miracle that never comes. Kushner sings about being out of favors, not a saviour, with nothing left to sacrifice, framing heartbreak as a repeated ritual.
Musically it is low-lit and cinematic: somber piano in B♭ minor at 146 BPM, swelling strings and rising percussion under his deep, gravelly baritone. The arrangement stays spacious, building tension without losing its intimate ache.
Perfect for late-night reflective playlists. Stream the official lyric video and grab the MP3 now to add this atmospheric single to your collection before Devotion arrives.
