Iowa nine-turned-eight man wrecking crew Slipknot returned in 2026 after a three-year silence since Bone Church in 2023. The End, So Far in 2022 closed their Roadrunner era, and last fall they sold their catalog royalties while building their own imprint.

Arsenal surprise-dropped 9 September 2026 as the first release on (sic)est Records, produced by the band and Matt Wallace. It premiered on BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record with a video directed by Shawn Clown Crahan starring actor Jackson White. Jim Root had confirmed a week earlier they were tracking album eight with 50 ideas in the room.

This is a new chapter lineup wise: first studio cut with drummer Eloy Casagrande who joined in 2024, and first without sampler Craig Jones and turntablist Sid Wilson. Corey Taylor said it pummels and encapsulates everything they do.

The track opens with “I hope no bad people show up” then explodes  rap-spit verses, “I fought a fucking god and the god lost” and “I’m a .45 not a Mach 10,” frantic scratching still in there, then a crushing half-time breakdown that rebuilds into a feral finale. At 3:41 it recalls early Mr Bungle-tinged chaos.

For Maggots waiting on LP8, this is the shot across the bow. Watch the official video and download the MP3 to keep Slipknot’s comeback anthem locked.

Quotable Lyrics:

I reminisce about the confidence that comes with the chaos

I know how to dominate at all costs

The prison in my head had the cells tossed

I fought a fucking god and the god lost

Sinners, come hither

We can break the rules and leave home or get old and stay bitter

Nothing in the world can surprise me

I know all the demons despise me
